Academic Integrity Policy

Last updated June 2026

Stuvo is built to help you learn and to draft faster — not to hand in work that isn't yours. This page sets out how to use Stuvo honestly. Using it in a way that breaks your institution's rules is a misuse of the product.

Drafts, not submissions

Everything Stuvo produces is an editable draft. It is a study aid and a starting point, never a guaranteed, ready-to-submit final answer. You are expected to read it critically, check the facts, and make the work genuinely your own before it goes anywhere.

Your responsibilities

  • Know and follow your institution's rules on AI assistance — they vary widely and they take precedence.
  • Review and verify every claim, calculation and citation. AI can produce confident but wrong content.
  • Personalise drafts in your own voice and understanding rather than copying them verbatim.
  • Disclose AI assistance where your course or assessment requires it.
  • Never present Stuvo's output as original work where doing so would constitute plagiarism or cheating.

How Stuvo helps you stay honest

  • Stuvo explains what an assignment is asking and the concepts behind it, so you actually understand the material.
  • Drafts are flagged for review when our quality checks aren't confident they're complete or accurate.
  • Source suggestions are provided so you can verify and properly attribute claims, not so you can fabricate them.

Misuse

Submitting Stuvo's drafts as unmodified original work, using it to circumvent an assessment that forbids AI, or otherwise breaching your institution's rules is a misuse of Stuvo and a breach of our Terms of Service. You are solely responsible for academic consequences that result from how you use the product.

Questions

This page uses clear placeholder language to describe how Stuvo currently works. It is not legal advice and may be updated before and during the public beta. For anything binding, the version published at stuvo.co at the time of your use applies.
